With 105.6 cu.ft. of passenger space, the Accord is bigger than the Fusion (102.8 cu.ft.). There's more leg room in the Accord, which boasts more than 40 inches for backseat passengers. There's a similar advantage with the Accord trunk, which is 0.7 cubes bigger than the Fusion's trunk. Reviewers praise the Accord for its luxury-like quiet. That's thanks to extensive noise insulation and Active Noise Cancellation. This system has three microphones to monitor for noise levels. As for dash tech, the Fusion has a smaller standard screen than the Honda's standard touchscreen. However, the available larger touchscreens are the same size, and both offer Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Weighing some 300 pounds less than the Fusion, an Accord can do more with its horsepower. It has a standard 192-horsepower engine which generates 192 lb-ft of torque. Fusions have a regular I-4 that generates 175 horsepower. Even though the Accord generates more power, it actually uses less fuel than the Fusion. City mileage is 21 vs 30 mpg*, while highway mileage is 30 vs 38 mpg* for the Fusion and Accord respectively. If you want better Fusion gas mileage, you can step up to the more expensive 181-horsepower Ecoboost engine. Honda's ten-speed automatic ensures ample handling response. Both cars are offered with hybrid engines.

You can get a standard rearview camera on the Fusion, or you can get a multi-view camera as a standard on the Accord. This superior camera shows you three views. The Fusion has standard blind spot mirrors and offers a blind spot monitor as well as many crash avoidance features. Accords have standard Honda Sensing features. This includes a forward collision system with an autobrake, a lane departure warning with an assist, and an exclusive road departure system with an assist, throttle reduction function, and a vibrating steering wheel. These features try to help you avoid trouble. Like the Fusion, the Accord offers a blind spot monitor and rear cross-traffic alert.
