Performance
Capable of producing 141 horsepower, the 1.8 L i-VTEC SOHC engine block drives the 2019 Honda HR-V. Featuring the Eco Assist technology, this naturally aspirated powertrain delivers up to 127 pound-feet of torque. A continuously variable transmission with the Sport Mode is available in most trims. Paddle shifters with dual modes enhance the highly responsive CVT. This Honda crossover SUV gets good traction when the Real Time AWD adjusts the spin in the axles. The Intelligent Control System is sensitive enough to detect the slightest change in traction in the wheels. When you shift the vehicle into drive mode on an inclined road, the Hill Start Assist provides some mechanical leverage. Having an all-new design, the DeDion rear suspension system softens vibrations and bumps. A torsion beam rear suspension is installed in models that roll on front-wheel drive.
Interior
A 7.0-inch WVGA display is installed in the 2019 HR-V Sport and above models. This electrostatic touch screen lets you access the satellite-linked navigation system and other built-in applications. The HD Digital Traffic keeps you updated on local traffic flow. You may also access Google Maps on a smartphone that's connected to Android Auto. Apple CarPlay, HondaLink and Bluetooth offer additional connectivity options in the cockpit. Hundreds of music stations are available on HD Radio and SiriusXM Satellite Radio, which are included in a six-speaker audio system that's rated at 180 watts. This Honda crossover SUV also boasts convenient amenities, such as the patented Magic Seats in the second row. With a tap of the touch screen, you could manage the automatic climate control system. A tilting power roof and rear privacy glass provide some levels of natural climate control.
Safety
A multi-angle rear view camera is standard in the 2019 Honda HR-V. This crossover SUV has other driving aides for the road, such as the Collision Mitigation Braking and Adaptive Cruise Control. Both features monitor traffic flow and provide maximum braking force as needed.
