The 2017 Honda CR-V is a premium mid-size crossover SUV. The 2018 Honda HR-V is also a compact crossover SUV that is both economical and smart. Performance
Having a displacement of only 1.8 L, the Honda HR-V's i-VTEC SOHC engine produces slightly over 140 horsepower and under 130 pound-feet of torque. The CR-V offers a turbocharged 1.5 L engine that yields 190 hp and 179 lb-ft of torque. Installed in both models, the Eco Assist System makes fuel-saving adjustments to the powertrain. You can press the ECON button to enjoy an economical drive under normal conditions. Extra guidance is also provided by the Eco Coaching technology. A traditional six-speed manual transmission system is installed in the HR-V. Both models are compatible with a continuously variable transmission that provides limitless upshift and downshift options. You may turn on the Sport Mode to make this CVT more responsive at fast speeds. As versatile crossover SUVs that are optimized for off-road driving, these Honda vehicles roll on the Real Time All-Wheel Drive. The Intelligent Control System makes the appropriate adjustments to this dynamic AWD system. Additionally, the Hill Start Assist enhances the off-road attributes of these adventurous cars.
Safety
The Vehicle Stability Assist is standard in the 2018 HR-V and 2017 CR-V. This signature technology includes the Traction Control function that's particularly useful on low-friction surfaces. Both crossover SUVs also have the Brake Assist and electronic brake distribution. When it comes to accident-mitigation technology, the CR-V has several installations that are based on the Honda Sensing suite. Your chance of a forward crash is significantly lowered by the Collision Mitigation Braking System. Automatic braking is also integrated into the Adaptive Cruise Control that has the Low-Speed Follow function. Having Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, both Honda models support Android smartphones and iPhones. The HondaLink application provides other connectivity options through mobile phones.
