Performance
The 2.0-L engine in the 2018 Civic is capable of producing just under 160 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. Having a displacement of 1.5-L, the turbocharged engine yields a maximum of 174 hp and 167 lb-ft of torque. In the Civic Si, the turbo engine has been modified to generate up to 205 hp and 192 lb-ft of torque. Both turbo engines have a single-scroll design and an internal wastegate. Standard in the Civic, the Eco Assist System optimizes fuel economy in common driving situations. As a sporty model, the Civic Si model could run on the Normal or Sport setting. Both of these Honda sedans have the Hill Start Assist that provides a push against gravity on sloped roads. Additionally, an electric parking with an automatic hold creates stability on steep gradients. A six-speed manual transmission is available in the Civic and Civic Si. You can also opt for a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) in the Civic. Having a helical limited-slip differential, the Civic Si's transmission is engineered for smooth shifting.
Technology
A 7.0-inch touch screen with an electrostatic finish is installed in the 2018 Civic and Civic Si. This high-resolution display offers seamless access to the Android Auto and Apple CarPlay portals. Bluetooth is another smartphone-friendly feature in both vehicles. You can also take advantage of the HondaLink suite to access various mobile applications on the road. HD Radio, SiriusXM Satellite Radio and Pandora Internet Radio are accessible in these Honda sedans. Rated at 450 acoustic watts, a sound system with 10 speakers is available in both models. In the Civic, the GPS navigation system also comes with the Song by Voice function. Additionally, live updates on Honda HD Digital Traffic provide great guidance. Safety
