The 2026 Passport is up for the challenge, as it boasts a standard 3.5L V6 engine that can generate up to 285 horsepower1 and 262 lb.-ft. of torque2. In comparison, the 2026 Chevrolet Blazer has a standard 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine that only has an output of 228 horsepower and 258 lb.-ft. of torque. When you encounter various types of road conditions, you’ll be well-equipped to handle adversity while piloting the Passport thanks to its selection of standard Drive Modes that include Normal, Econ, Sport, Snow, Tow, Trail, and Sand settings. The Blazer doesn’t carry all of these options, as it only sports AWD, Sport, Snow/Ice, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road modes. We’d also like to mention that the Passport has a 5,000-lb. maximum towing capacity3, while the Blazer only allows you to tow 4,500 lbs.4 at a time.
Interior
While it’s clear that the 2026 Honda Passport outperforms the 2026 Chevrolet Blazer, how do these two SUVs compare on the inside? Well, the Passport offers more luxury upgrades than the Blazer, which is apparent when looking at the upholstery options. With the Passport, even the base trim comes with standard leather and cloth seats, while the Blazer offers only cloth options on entry-level editions. When you get behind the wheel of the Passport, you can take advantage of the standard 10-way power-adjustable chair with lumbar support. It even comes with a memory function so that you can easily adjust positions after a driver change. The Blazer only has an 8-way power-adjustable chair and doesn’t have the convenient memory settings. You and your passengers will also have more control over the temperature in the Passport, as a tri-zone automatic climate control comes standard. In contrast, the Blazer has a standard dual-zone automatic climate control, which offers less personalization for the backseat guests.
Technology
Technology can make drives to Signal Hill Park a lot easier, so we would like to highlight the differences between the two vehicles in this regard. With the Passport, you’ll have a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster, so you can clearly see important driving information. In comparison, the Blazer has a standard 4.2-inch version. They look for other faults but they are only recommendations unless it is a major safety or critical safety issue. As a recent innovation, they make a digital video of issues by their mechanic to provide direct evidence to the customer. Highly recommended-world class Service Center.
